Liverpool Equals to Arsenal’s Invincible Record

DBasia.news –  Liverpool continued to show their strength in the match against West Ham United at Anfield. The Reds defeated the Hammers 3-2 in the 27th week of the Premiere League, Tuesday (2/25) AM.

West Ham United under David Moyes were able to provide fierce resistance even though they have been windswept throughout this season. The Hammers even had a 2-1 lead through goals from Issa Diop (12 ‘) and Pablo Fornals (54’) who responded to Georginio Wijnaldum’s goal (9 ‘).

But Liverpool never gave up and received support from their fans. Mohamed Salah equalized in the 68th minute before the winning goal was scored by Sadio Mane in the 81st minute.

Liverpool are now collecting 79 points from 27 matches that have taken place: 26 wins and one draw without ever losing. While West Ham are in the relegation zone at 18th place of the standings with 24 points.

Liverpool now only needs 12 more points to win the Premier League title. That means four more wins. Given Liverpool’s great consistency this season it can happen quickly. However, Jurgen Klopp doesn’t want his team to be conceited.

“The next three (points) are always the most difficult – it’s always been like this and we have never seen it differently. It would be strange if we now say that the following 12 points are challenging … they are difficult, you seen it tonight,” Klopp said on the official Liverpool page.

“If we lose tonight, everyone will say ‘two (defeats) in a row’, under pressure at Watford (Liverpool’s next opponent) – we are still under pressure at Watford as they are good, really good.”

“I saw their match against United, they were able to score first (together) Troy Deeney and then they had a great moment. They played well here and they will fight for everything as right now everyone is fighting for everything, “explained Klopp.

“Could it be that I want a better position to get into the last 11 matches? No, I never would have thought it to be possible, but each of them were really difficult and we really appreciate it. We didn’t expect an easy match, no one wants to get through it easily. “

According to records from @AnfieldEdition, Liverpool have won matches (26 times) as much as Arsenal in the 2003-04 season when they won the Premier League title without ever losing or invincible.
