Liverpool is Near to Recruit RB Salzburg striker

DBasia.news –  Japanese wing attacker, Takumi Minamino, is increasingly close to joining the Liver pool of RB Salzburg.

Quoted from the Mirror on Saturday (12/14/2019) Liverpool will only spend 7.25 million pounds in order to hook the striker who has scored 5 goals in the Austrian League this season.

In terms of play, Minamino is indeed worthy of a career at the level of the English League. In Salzburg, its role is very central to the attack scheme. He became the center of the Salzburg team’s attack which began with a central defender pass. As shown against Liverpool at Anfield on 3 Novem ago.

The scheme used by Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch is 4-4-2 or can be transformed into 4-1-2-1-2 when competing making Minamino able to become an attacking midfielder. Interestingly, this former Cerezo Osaka player has the ability to play wide to use the width of the field.

What is also an advantage of a Minamino is the ability to send feedback despite being in a narrow position. This ability makes Erling Haaland a lethal bomber in front of the opponent’s goal.

Quoted from Denmark transfermarkt, from the 14 matches he played with RB Salzburg. Minamino collected 6 assists in the Austrian League, 3 in the Champions League and 2 in the Austrian Cup. Note that makes it quite decent uniformed in the middle of Liverpool this season.

But the question is whether mentally, Minamino is worthy enough to compete at the level of the English League? Is it possible that he stumbled just as he had felt by the first Japanese player in the English League, Junichi Inamoto?

Junichi Inamoto’s bad career

At the beginning of the millennium, the English football public was shocked by Arsenal’s decision to bring Japanese player Junichi Inamoto from the Gamba Osaka club. Arsenal’s interest in Inamoto was based on his ability to score two goals for Japan in World Cup 2 002.

Some parties see Arsenal’s decision when it was too rushed. Although Inamoto did show class when defending Japan at the 2002 World Cup, in the middle sector the London Cannon team was home to many quality midfielders.

There were Edu, Ray Paour, Freddie Ljungberg, and Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Although only on loan at Arsenal, in fact, Inamoto’s career was not brilliant at Highbury Stadium. One season at Arsenal, Inamoto only played 4 times as a substitute.

End of the 2001/02 season, Arsenal released it. He also joined Fulham on loan. At this club, Inamoto showed improvement. Two seasons at Fulham, he scored 4 goals from 41 caps. Had been permanently married by West Bromwich Albion, Inamo ended his career in the Premier League with Cardiff in 2004/05 on loan.
