Liverpool Legend Condemns Pogba’s Tackle

DBasia.news – Liverpool legend, Graeme Souness, attacks Manchester United’s Paul Pogba again. The French player is considered to be able to break Ruben Neves’ leg.

Man United picked up a narrow 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. In the match at Molineux Stadium, Sunday (29/8/2021), Mason Mount was the scorer of the Red Devils’ winning goal.

Prior to that goal, Pogba was involved in a 50-50 fight for the ball with Ruben Neves. The Portuguese player’s clear ball headed for Raphael Varane, passed to Greenwood. With his hard kick, Greenwood listed his name on the scoreboard.

After the match, Pogba denied violating Neves while tackling. “I didn’t touch him. This is the Premier League, it’s 50-50, every weekend it happens,” Pogba told Sky Sports after the game.

Souness did not accept this. He said that Pogba could break another player’s leg.

“It could have broken a leg. He wasn’t blinded by anything. I feel guilty about some stupid things, some cruel things and bad things,” Souness told Sky Sports.

“It’s a classic case if I’m watching someone, I’m just on the ball. I’m not saying that Pogba intends to do that, but it looks like it.”

“He was not close to the ball. How can the referee not consider it a foul? This is more than worrying, it’s a warning when senior referees don’t consider it a foul,” he added.

Souness has made some negative comments about Pogba. When Pogba scored 4 assists in the first week, Souness was reluctant to give praise.
