Liverpool: Mignolet Transfer Fee on “Sale”

DBasia.news – Until now, Liverpool is facing difficulty to sell Simon Mignolet. The £12M transfer fee on him becomes the burden for some interested teams.

Currently, Simon Mignolet position in Liverpool is excluded. Moreover, The Reds got Alisson Becker worth £65M from AS Roma.

Moreover, Mignolet is no longer Liverpool main goalkeeper since January 2018 after Jurgen Klopp chose Loris Karius.

Liverpool hope there will be a team who will buy the 30-year-old player with the £12M price tag. The number is important for The Reds finance, the same as £12,5M money from Danny Ward transfer to Leicester City.

But the problem is until now there’s no club willing to buy Mignolet with the desired price. Besiktas is one of the teams targeting to get Mignolet. But the Turkey club just want to have the former Sunderland goalkeeper in a long-term loan.

On the other hand, there’s a speculation that Barcelona join the Mignolet hunt, but Liverpool Echo reporter that there is no concrete step yet.

Currently, Simon Mignolet is in his three-year-contract. As the best solution, Liverpool have to lower the ego and accept the offer or give discount for the potential buyers. If not, Simon Mignolet will stay on the bench during the 2018-2019 season.
