Liverpool prepares a memorable farewell for Divock Origi

DBasia.news – Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has enlisted the help of the Reds fans in creating a beautiful and festive farewell ceremony for Divock Origi against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday. He will join the AC Milan squad, as his contract at Anfield expires in June.

Origi has been seen as a Liverpool “legend” given that he often scores crucial goals that mean a lot to the club, even though he is a back-up striker for the Merseyside club.

Klopp called for all Anfield loyalists to prepare Origi’s departure in a special way.

“I hope Div gets a special welcome or some kind of farewell. He is a Liverpool legend. He is one of the most important players I have ever had,” said Klopp.

“He is a player who is purely a pleasure to work with. There has never been [a special farewell event for players], but he deserves all the attention we can give for his future.”

“Wherever he lands, we will fight for success,” Klopp said.

“It will be challenging [to let Origi go],” he continued.

When it comes to Origi, what Klopp has in mind is all positive. For him, the status of a legend is worthy to be held by the 27-year-old figure player.

“I remember so many things when I think about Div, which was absolutely incredible. His goals, his ups and downs. There is no doubt he is a Liverpool legend.”
