Liverpool’s Comeback Over Barcelona is Considered by Klopp to be More Meaningful Than the Trophy Achievement

Liverpool vs Barcelona

DBasia.news –  Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager, still remembers his team’s great remontada (comeback) when hosting Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final second leg. According to him, the comeback means more than just a degree.

Liverpool rose in the second leg of the 2018-2019 Champions League semi-final against Barcelona. The Reds lost 3-0 in the first duel, turned to a win with four goals without reply. That way, Mohamed Salah and his friends qualified for the final challenging Tottenham Hotspur.

Until now, Jurgen Klopp has not brought Liverpool to the title. The minor record is likely to end this season because Liverpool can win the Champions League and Premier League titles.

However, even if it fails to win the title, Klopp is still heartened. According to him, Liverpool have had an extraordinary season.

“It’s not about me, it’s a matter of the club. We all have to do the best we have, that’s what we want to try. If it leads to a trophy, it’s good. However, we can’t do more,” said Klopp as reported by Soccerway.

“If people judge me not winning something in the past or winning something in the future, I can’t change it. Something I can do is show the best performance. This season is a year full of beautiful moments. Looking forward and enjoying the match. Last Tuesday was the icing on the cake. Moments like that are worth more than a trophy,” Klopp said.

Liverpool will host Wolverhampton Wanderers in the final match of the Premier League 2018-2019, at Anfield Stadium on Sunday (12/5). Liverpool are one point adrift of league leaders Manchester City.
