Loftus-Cheek Chooses to Stay in Chelsea to Learn Sarri’s Way

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

DBasia.news – In his 22, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has a bright future to be England national team future midfielder. Under one simple condition: he must play more to add the minutes hence the exit rumor from Chelsea.

However, Loftus-Cheek chooses to stay at Stamford Bridge and refuses to leave. Instead of moving, Loftus-Cheek prefers to adapt and grow under Maurizio Sarri.

His performance is great after scoring five goals from six recent matches. His latest goal happened last weekend when Chelsea won 2-0 against Fulham on the 14th-week of Premier League.

“I am here right now, I am at Chelsea and I want to focus on helping the team. When I am on the pitch I can’t have any negative thoughts when I am in and around the team because it will affect the team,” Loftus-Cheek told Goal.

“So my head right now is on playing for Chelsea and learning Sarri’s way. Individually and as a team, that’s all I can do at the moment. I can’t think too far ahead. I can only think about what’s happening right now,” he continued.

Loftus-Cheek, who was on-loan to Crystal Palace last season, believes he would play often considering the tight schedule of Chelsea this season in the Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

“There’s loads of games, so loads of rotation, so we all need to be ready physically and mentally for this,” Loftus-Cheek added.

“My mindset when I get the opportunity to play, whether that’s in the Europa League or in the Premier League, is that I have to do my best and try to make stuff happen, but also do what the manager asks of me defensively. So that’s my mindset and I want to carry on like that,” he concluded.
