Lopetegui Believes Madrid Will Win Again

Julen Lopetegui

DBasia.news – Real Madrid coach, Julen Lopetegui, told his message to Los Blancos supporters that the team will return to the victory.

Lopetegui said that after the 0-1 defeat against Alaves in the visit to Mendizorroza Stadium for the 8th week of Spanish LaLiga.

“The message (to the supporters) is that this team have been working like beasts for the last three months and they will get back to winning ways,” Lopetegui said reported by Madrid’s official website.

“Today all the negatives came out. This run without key players isn’t normal. It’s also hugely important that we start scoring goals, and we will do that. We have the international break now, so we can get back to what we’re doing,” he added.

Madrid dominated the whole matches but the only deadly opportunity happened at 9′ when the headbutt ball from Karim Benzema executed by Ximo Navvaro at Alaves’ net.

Lopetegui also said the decision to withdraw Benzema and Gareth Bale in the second half must be done because they got injured, hence the international break for recovery.

On the other hand, Lopetegui won’t think too much about the rumor saying that his position as the Madrid coach is threatened due to the poor records.

“Coaches are always exposed, but we are not thinking about (the sack),” Lopetegui said.

“The coach is always responsible, ahead of the players, no doubt about that. But we are still in October and at worst three points off the top. We now have time to get some very important players back,” he added.
