DBasia.news –  Los Angeles (LA) Galaxy, the United States club playing in Major Soccer League (MLS) have announced the squad for 2019. In the announcement, LA Galaxy drop, renew, and release some players, one of them is the former Chelsea player, Ashley Cole.

The 37-year-old left-back was released after two years supporting LA Galaxy from AS Roma. LA Galaxy decided not to renew his contract. It means Cole has the free transfer status in 2019.

Besides Cole, there are 7 other players released, mostly are the defenders.

“The Galaxy have exercised contract options on the following four players: midfielder Sebastian Lletget, defender Daniel Steres, midfielder Bradford Jamieson IV and goalkeeper Justin Vom Steeg.”

“Additionally, the LA Galaxy have declined the options of the following players: defender Michael Ciani, goalkeeper Brian Sylvestre, forward Ariel Lassiter, defender Sheanon Williams, defender Ashley Cole, defender Rolf Feltscher, midfielder Baggio Husidic, and midfielder Servando Carrasco.”

Unlike Cole, LA Galaxy still list Zlatan Ibrahimovic for 2019 season, despite his rumor to join AC Milan on January. Ibra was rumored to agree to play in Milan for six months or until the end of 2018/2019 season.
