Losing to Juventus, Fabio Capello Criticizes Christian Eriksen
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Fabio Capello, former Inter Milan manager believes Christian Eriksen to be a slow player. He revealed this following the defeat of Il Nerazuri against Juventus.
Christian Eriksen entered the second round of the Juventus vs Inter match at the Allianz-Stadium, Monday (09/03). The 28-year-old player replaced Nicolo Barella, when the Nerazzurri trailed 0-1 after being broken into by Aaron Ramsey.
However, Eriksen’s appearance did not help much for Inter. Antonio Conte’s players even continued to be conceded in the 67th minute through the action of Paulo Dybala, and finally collapsed at the Derby d’Italia which was held enclosed in anticipation of the corona virus.
Eriksen’s appearance, newly recruited from Tottenham Hotspur in January, was criticized. Former Italian manager, Fabio Capello, thinks Eriksen is too slow.
“Italian football is not very fast, but Christian Eriksen has never been fast in his career. I think he can perform well as a game director, like Andrea Pirlo at Juventus and not as a winger. He doesn’t have the speed to be a box-to-box player, “Fabio Capello stated.
“I think he can be a player like Brozovic and not a player like Vidal. He is not a person who does a lot of dribbling, “Capello added.
Christian Eriksen himself has defended Inter in four Serie A matches. However, he hasn’t created a goal or an assist.
