DBasia.news – AS Roma striker, Edin Dzeko blamed the manager, Paulo Fonseca, for the defeat received by Sevilla in the Europa League with a score of 0-2, Friday (7/8) AM.

With that defeat, AS Roma toppled in the top 16 of the Europa League. Dzeko didn’t play well even from the first minute.

“Everything. Everything. We were not really in the match, from the first minute to the end,” said Dzeko as quoted by the Italian Football website.

He admitted that AS Roma’s game was messy. Even Sevilla was able to control the match until they finally lost to goals from Sergio Reguilon and Youssef En-Nesyri.

AS Roma doesn’t even have a direct shot at the goal. In contrast, Sevilla scored 10 chances and Dzeko blamed the coach’s tactics.

“They pressed us, we wanted to play the ball and that wasn’t possible. They only made a few passes and gave long balls from long shots,” he stated.

He admitted that the game built from behind did not work. He said the team should have used a long ball that directed the ball at him.

“Regarding the strength of this performance, we still have a long journey ahead of us. We have to ask ourselves some serious questions. I am disappointed because we did not play well at all, it was really disappointing,” he concluded.
