DBasia.news – France and Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez has been sentenced to six months in prison by a Spanish court for violating a detention order.
As reported by BBC News, Hernandez was sanctioned by a Spanish court for violating the rules in 2017. The violation occurred due to an argument with him and his wife Amelia Ossa Llorente.
Both did not file charges, but Llorente was taken to hospital with minor injuries and that means, Hernandez was found guilty of violating domestic rules against Llorente.
After the argument, the two had returned to Spain after being married, after appearing in court, Hernandez will have 10 days to report to prison voluntarily. He was also allowed to choose the prison where he was sentenced.
Llorente was also sentenced to 31 days for community service for violence, assault and property damage. Hernandez had also been sentenced to a six-year prison ban in 2018 for breaking the rules, an appeal that was rejected at the time.
The news is unfortunate for Bayern Munich and the player. The reason is Hernandez (25 years old) is currently in excellent condition and is an option for Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern who signed him in 2018 for 80 million euros.
This season the former Atletico Madrid defender has played six times, four in the Bundesliga and two in the Champions League. Hernandez was also part of the French national team squad when they won the 2018 World Cup.
