DBasia.news – The U23 Indonesia national team started the journey with a good impression in the 2018 Asian Games. The U23 national team defeated the U23 Taiwan with 4-0 score during the Group A match of 2018 Asian Games at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, Sunday (12/8).
Stefano Lilipaly (67′ and 77′), Beto Goncalves (71′), and Muhammad Hargianto (90+2′) presented the decisive goals.
The result placed the Garuda Muda squad as the runner-up of Group A standings with 3 points from one match. The U23 national team just have one point difference to the U23 Palestine national team who sat in the top standing.

Next, the U23 national team will play against the U23 Palestine during the second round of Group A match at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, Wednesday (15/8).
Ahead of the match, U23 national team coach Luis Milla admitted the opponent have a different quality compared to rest of Group A member, Laos, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Palestine are the strongest opponent in Group A.
“We have to consider about Palestine. They are a bit different and solid, with strong physic. We knew Palestine came with the U23. But, their U23 are very physically strong. We saw them play, we could turn the situation though left by Laos (2-1). We can create the moment,” Luis Milla said.
“We have to think of the next match. I hope we can work hard humbly,” he added.
