Luis Suarez Admits He Prefers to Play under Diego Simeone’s Coaching

DBasia.news – Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez admitted that he was in a good mood after being sacked by Barcelona last summer. In fact, he now feels comfortable with his new club, especially coach Diego Simeone.

Suarez admits that he is very fortunate to be able to play under Simeone after leaving Barcelona. Because, he considered his game to continue to develop in the hands of the Argentine passport coach, even though he was already old.

Even now. Suarez is still listed as the temporary top scorer in the 2020-2021 Spanish League. He has collected 14 goals and beat his former Barcelona colleague Lionel Messi.

Because of that, he felt grateful to join Atletico and meet Simeone. Suarez did not hesitate to mention Simeone as someone who gave him enthusiasm and motivation in his current career.

“He is one of the coaches who convinces you through his desire, his positivity and with everything he knows,” said Suarez, quoting from Marca, Friday (5/2/2021).

“I rely more on the coach’s confidence when he talks than on the style of play,” he added.

“Simeone is a coach who reaches out to you and motivates you. I don’t want to be a coach because it suffers a lot, and you can’t make everyone happy,” he continued.

As is known, Suarez is a former Barcelona player who can be said to be wasted at the Camp Nou. Because since Ronald Koeman’s arrival as coach last summer, Suarez is no longer needed in the main squad.

Even so, Suarez seems to want to prove himself that he is still worthy when he joins Atletico. Even though he is in his twilight years, his performance on the front lines is still dangerous.

Currently, he has managed to bring Atletico to the top of the Spanish League 2020-2021. Even Atletico’s chance to be so great after winning 10 points from the closest opponents, namely Barcelona and Real Madrid.
