Luis Suarez Pleads Guilty to Italian Passport Fraud

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Luis Suarez just gave testimony regarding fraud in his application for an Italian passport last summer. The Uruguayan-born striker finally admitted his mistake.

After entering Barcelona’s selling list last summer, Suarez was widely reported to be joining Juventus. However, this wish was hampered by the already full quota of non-EU Bianconeri players.

Unable to think, Suarez tried to get an Italian passport from his wife’s lineage. This step is the best solution to smooth his wishes.

But in the process, suspicion accompanies Suarez’s steps, especially after he finished the language test in a very short time.

Reporting from Il Corriere dell’Umbria, Suarez admitted to cheating in the test. He has got a grid regarding the correct answer before the exam takes place.

Worse, Suarez admitted that Juventus was involved in this dirty practice. Both parties had already signed a pre-contract beforehand.

Suarez conveyed this admission via video conference to the Perugia public prosecutor who handled this case. The position of Juventus is even more cornered now.

Previously, Juventus had flatly rejected the allegations about their involvement in the Suarez passport case. Even though the sporting director, Fabio Paratici, is being questioned by the authorities.

If found guilty, Juventus are ready to face a variety of punishments. Starting from a fine to being relegated to Serie B could have happened to the Old Lady.
