DBasia.news – Croatia national team prominent midfielder Luka Modric never thinks to leave Real Madrid. He wants to retire there and enjoying his moment.

Luka Modric is chosen as the best in 2018 Ballon d’Or award. The former Tottenham Hotspur player defeated top players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann, and Lionel Messi.

After winning the Ballon d’Or, Modric focuses to support Real Madrid. Moreover, he has the plan to end his career later at Santiago Bernabeu.

“The club show me a lot of affection and I’d like to retire at Real Madrid. My family enjoy it and I want to keep enjoying this huge club,” Modric said cited by Soccerway.

Despite his individual titles this season, Modric still aims the World Cup title. “I said, I think last time when I won The Best, I would change all my individual awards for the World Cup, unfortunately, it didn’t happen,” Modric explained.

“This success we achieved at the World Cup for such a small country like Croatia is something amazing. But, like I told you, I would change all of this for a World Cup,” Modric said.

Luka Modric was mentioned related to Inter Milan during the 2018 summer transfer market. But, until the transfer market ended, Modric stayed in Real Madrid. It’s rumored that El Real refused Modric’s request to leave.
