DBasia.news – Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho revealed that Romelu Lukaku cut his holiday time. Lukaku did that to join The Red Devils in the opening match of 2018/2019 Premier League.
Manchester United will have their first match of Premier League on August 10. The match will happen in The Red Devils home, Old Trafford Stadium.
However, actually Manchester United can’t send their best player because some of them are still on holiday after the 2018 World Cup.
At least, there are four players predicted to absent during Manchester United first match. They are Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford, Victor Lindelof, and Phil Jones.
Apparently, Romelu Lukaku and friends want to sacrifice by ending the holiday sooner for Manchester United.
The four players will end the holiday to join the training before the match against Leicester. They will join after the end of US tour.
Mourinho praised Romelu Lukaku and friends’ decision. The Portuguese manager mentioned they did an amazing sacrifice.
“My players, amazing in their effort,” Mourinho said after the 2-1 victory of Real Madrid.
“My players will be in amazing condition. Sanchez is fresh, the way the man is running, I think he is in a fantastic condition. So let’s look at it from a positive side and wait for Lindelof, Rashford, Lukaku, and Jones.”
“They’re not prepared but they will be back and that’s the spirit we need because our first two or three weeks in the Premier League are going to be really hard for us because we didn’t prepare for that,” Mourinho added.
