Lukaku Injured, Inter Milan Find Solutions For Attacking Position

DBasia.news – Inter Milan got bad news after their danalan striker, Romelu Lukaku suffered an injury.  The Nerazzurri need to find a solution to put the Belgian in attack.

Romelu Lukaku became Inter Milan’s goal machine at the start of this season.  From seven matches in various competitions, Lukaku has scored seven goals.

Unfortunately, the former Manchester United player suffered an injury.  Lukaku had a muscle problem after the Champions League match.

“Romelu Lukaku underwent an MRI scan this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano following a problem during the Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk,” wrote Inter in an official statement.

“The investigation revealed by the adductor muscle in the left thigh. The condition of the Belgian forward will be evaluated day by day,” continued the Nerazzurri.

Reportedly, Romelu Lukaku will not be able to appear in the next three matches (versus Parma, Real Madrid and Atalanta).  Of course, losing Lukaku will create a big hole in the Inter attack sector.  Moreover, Alexis Sanchez’s condition is still gray.

Antonio Conte needs to rack his brains to cope with Lukaku’s absence.  There are several solutions the coach can take.

The first solution is to pair Lautaro Martinez with Andrea Pinamonti.  In this way, Inter’s game scheme doesn’t need to change much because Pinamonti is an attacker who has a similar playing character to Lukaku.

Furthermore, the way Conte can try is to make Ivan Perisic as Lautaro’s friend up front.  Perisic played this role in several matches including the Croatian national team.

The next way is to change the formation from 3-5-2 to 3-4-2-1.  That means Lautaro will be installed alone at the front.

Currently, Inter Milan are entrenched in fourth position in the standings after collecting 10 points from five matches.  Meanwhile, in the Champions League, La Beneamata has only collected two points from two matches.
