Madrid’s Analysis: 50 Goals Replacing Ronaldo
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Selling the 33-year-old player worth 112 million euro was an important business decision from Real Madrid. Perhaps, this is the perfect time for Madrid to release Cristiano Ronaldo.
But on the other hand, Madrid lost his top scorer who always threatened the opponents. In the context of the goal, Ronaldo was Madrid’s main supplier, 50 goals in his nine years career, came from the Portugal player.
Ronaldo’s move left a big hole in Madrid. Here comes the question, who can fill the hole?
There is Karim Benzema, who is now focusing his career in scoring a goal, 21 goals in average for each season. The problem is, during the past two seasons, the France striker just scored 19 and 12 goals.
What about Gareth Bale? After Ronaldo left, Bale would have a bigger responsibility in attacking. Since joining 5 years ago, Bale scored 88 goals or 18 goals for each season. This number should be higher if he didn’t get any injury.
Madrid also has Isco, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, and even Borja Mayoral. The players could have an opportunity to be a top scorer. But, they are more as a playmaker, not a striker.
Most Madrid supporters believe that their beloved club must have the high-class great center striker who will accompany the other top recruitments like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, or Eden Hazard. Many think about Harry Kane as the right choice.
Tottenham Hotspur’s top scorer presented 41 goals in 48 matches last season. During the past three seasons, Bale always scored many goals, equals Ronaldo.
Compared to Kane, there is Mauro Icardi. He is possible to be an option, with 23 goals for each season. But his personal life makes the club needs to think twice.
Besides Kane and Icardi, there are many high-class strikers. But no one seems suitable with Madrid’s need. For example, Edinson Cavani or Robert Lewandowski who has left his dignity time.
There is also Mohamed Salah, but it will be difficult to get him from Liverpool. But, it is always possible for Madrid to try.
It’s interesting to wait for Real Madrid’s step to find the top scorer after Ronaldo left them.
