Madrid’s Performance Alternative Without Isco

Isco

DBasia.news – Losing Isco will give a great impact on Real Madrid, considering the remaining talent. However, another player could replace him. If coach Julen Lopetegui applied the 4-3-3 scheme, the midfield trio will be filled by Luka Modric, Casemiro, and Toni Kroos.

Marco Asensio, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale could be in the front. Then, if applying the 4-2-3-1 scheme, the attacking midfielder position behind the central striker will be filled with Asensio or Dani Ceballos.

Besides, Lopetegui also could maximize the role of Lucas Vazquez and the new recruit from Olympique Lyonnais, Mariano Diaz to hit the pitch even more frequent. See? Losing Isco can still be compensated by other players.

Isco’s injury was a bad news for Real Madrid. When they need all the players in the squad to play for Julen Lopetegui in all competitions, one of their prominent players got injured. He is Francisco Roman Alarcon Suarez or Isco.

Reported by Marca, the 26-year-old attacking midfielder had an appendix problem and felt the pain in a training session with Madrid. The medical team saw the injury and suggested him to have a surgery, and one-month recovery afterward.

It means, Isco missed six matches: four with Madrid and two with Spain national team (during the international break). Along with Madrid, the matches were against Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, CSKA Moscow (Champions League), and Deportivo Alaves.

Meanwhile, with Spain national team under Luis Enrique, Isco missed two matches against Wales in the friendly match and England in the UEFA Nations League. Isco’s absence would leave a blank space but could be replaced by other players.

Isco is expected to recover and play with Madrid in the El Clasico match against Barcelona on October 28. Before the Malagan player recovers, Lopetegui expects other players to fill his position in Madrid.

“This morning he (Isco) had some pain and he will need surgery, we hope it goes well and he recovers as soon as possible. We are now thinking about solutions and who to put in because we have full confidence in everyone,” Lopetegui said.
