Malaysia is ready to face anything

By news-admin

DBasia.news – JAKARTA: Malaysia is ready to face any possibility including a penalty shootout when meeting with Japan tonight.

According to country’s B-23 coach, Datuk Ong Kim Swee, it is one of the things he has analysed after the group’s last stages against Bahrain.

“We have to be prepared to play a long match until extra time or penalties,” he said after a team training session at Padang B Gelora Bung Karno (GBK).

Kim Swee explains, there will be a change in the starting line-up as he will only put in the best line.

“Japan is an experienced team, they have participated in many competitions and have a good combination.

“We need to focus as against South Korea especially when it comes to defence,” he added.

Asked about the status of Muhammad Akhyar Abdul Rashid, he explained the players had gone down to practice today and hoped there was no serious injury after the session ends.
