Malcom is currently becoming a unique ‘phenomenon’ in Europe. Especially if you remember the way Barcelona recruited him from Girondins Bordeaux. Although only playing for Barcelona for one season , Malcom reportedly will be sold in the coming summer.
Malcom had even been on his way to Rome to undergo medical tests and sign a contract. But half way through, Barca hijacked his transfer and made a higher bid than Roma. Bordeaux then canceled the player’s trip to Italy to negotiate with Blaugarana.
Unfortunately, the inaugural season in Spain did not go well, Malcolm was not the main choice of Ernesto Valverde and was more in the substitute bench. Even in La Liga, he has only appeared in eight matches and has not scored a goal at all.
The patience of the club officials for the 22-year-old player seems to have reached their limit. Now as reported by Marca, Barcelona reportedly already has plans to release Malcom in the summer of 2019 and at the same time set a price of at least 70 million euros.
Although rarely getting the chance to play, it seems like it won’t make Malcom have difficulty to find a new place to dock, as one of the giants of Serie A, Inter Milan, has long entered him on the shopping list.
Barcelona will likely be a club that is quite busy releasing a number of players at the end of the season, in addition to Malcom, there are two other names that have the chance to leave Camp Nou, namely Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic.
