DBasia.news – AC Milan legend and director Paolo Maldini admits that his team aren’t equal to the performance of Serie A defending champion, Juventus. However, he promises to bring back Rossonero to their highest level.
AC Milan fans expectation was high when the legend Gennato Gattuso became the coach last season. They had the hope after the good signings in 2018 summer transfer market.
Unfortunately, so far Gianluigi Donnarumma and friends haven’t showed the desired performance. After defeating AS Roma before the international break, they got 1-1 draw result with Cagliari on Monday (17/9).
Plus the defeat against Napoli in the first week, the doubt arises in AC Milan.
However, Maldini ensured the public that all club elements are trying to bring back Rossoneri to their utmost level.
“This is a serious project, we want to take Milan back to the highest levels,” Maldini told Sky.
“We have to take care of the mentality, there are young players who are not yet convinced of what they can do and who have to find self-confidence. Dialogue with us directors could be important for them,” he added.
