Manchester City Five Points Behind from Liverpool, Pep Guardiola does not Worry

DBasia.news –  Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager, is not worried about his team’s chance of defending the Premier League title after losing to Norwich City.

Manchester City visited Norwich headquarters at Carrow Road in the Premier League match 2019-2020, Saturday (8/14). In the visit, The Citizens were defeated 2-3 from the home team.

In fact, Manchester City is the defending champion of the Premier League. However, The Citizens actually were left behind up to 1-3 from Norwich.

Norwich’s goal was scored by Kenny McLean, Todd Cantwell and Teemu Pukki. Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero and Rodrigo helped Manchester City reduce the score.

Even so, Pep Guardiola has asked the public not to exaggerate it. Because the Premier League still leaves a lot of matches.

“Yes, Manchester City is five points behind Liverpool. But, remember this is still September. What should we do?” said Pep Guardiola.

“Saying it’s still September and congratulates Liverpool that they are champions? I would never doubt the Manchester City players in the slightest.”

“Sometimes you know we make mistakes. In my opinion, you forget they are human. Football goes on fast and things can change quickly,” he added.

Despite losing, Manchester City is still ranked second in the Premier League standings. The Citizens has collected 10 points from five matches.
