DBasia.news – The Manchester United transfer saga in an attempt to land Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho continues after failing to secure the services of the England international player in the summer of 2020.
Borussia Dortmund has not objection in selling the player as long as the price offered is appropriate, especially Dortmund now has Erling Haaland and other talents who also come from England, Jude Bellingham.
Jadon Sancho (21) had previously agreed to personally return to England and the City of Manchester (formerly Sancho was a product of the Manchester City academy). The problem is Dortmund didn’t let him go for less.
Dortmund opened the price in the range of 95 million euros and no lower at this time. No doubt negotiations with MU are still ongoing. The club only needs to convince Dortmund to sell players who have personally agreed to MU.
“Manchester United reached an agreement with Sancho’s camp personally (with a contract) until 2026. Jadon did not make any problems,” said European football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
“Negotiations have now started with Borussia Dortmund. A price of 95 million euros, no deal yet. Man Utd now feel Sancho is ‘closer’ (to being signed than 2020).”
Man United offered 69 million euros and that amount was not what Dortmund wanted. Negotiations are still ongoing and the player is now focused on England at Euro 2020.
“We already had an agreement with Jadon last year that he could switch (clubs) under certain conditions,” said Michael Zorc, Dortmund’s sporting director told ARD some time ago.
“He has been with us for several years. However, this agreement does not apply to Erling [Haaland],” he asserted.
