Manchester United is not sold to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

DBasia.news –  The Manchester United CEO, Ed Woodward, strongly denied the intention of the Glazer Family to sell Man United to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Ranked 13th in the Premier League, two points adrift of the relegation zone, Man United is in the limelight now. The inconsistency of playing the team under the direction of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led to rumors of his dismissal.

Also, Man United’s poor transfer was highlighted. Woodward continued to get criticized for stepping down from his position, because he was considered not to understand football, despite providing a lot of income for the club.

The public hopes for a new figure in club management. Revolutions in several positions, such as the procurement of Sports Director, are considered to be needed by the fans in Man United’s board of directors. No doubt the emergence of rumors of an acquisition offer from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has become an ‘oasis in the middle of the desert’.

Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, reportedly will make a third offer to buy United for more than three billion pounds, to convince Glazer to release the club they have handled since 2005.

Woodward spoke up about it. According to him, there was no intention from the Glazer Family to sell Manchester United.

“About supply or demand prices, my understanding is that there has been no discussion for club prices or anything like that. Every discussion that we do is long term,” explained Glazer, quoted by the Guardian.

Woodward also said that this year they experienced a two percent decline in terms of annual revenue so that it did not produce a big impact on the club’s finances.
