DBasia.news – Manchester United living legend, Wayne Rooney, suggests his former club to sign Mauricio Pochettino. He thinks he is the right manager for Man United.
Manchester United are on the right track under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Red Devils won all the recent six matches.
The result raised the chance for Solskjaer to be signed permanently. Ont he other hand, it’s rumored that Manchester United want to sign Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
Rooney thinks Manchester United should choose Pochettino. However, he also admits Solskjaer’s greatness.
“First of all, you have to give Ole an opportunity and that’s a discussion that has to take place with the Glazers,” Wayne Rooney said cited by Express.
“But if I had the opportunity to appoint someone, I’d go all out for Mauricio Pochettino.”
Rooney thinks Pochettino is not an average manager. He is impressed by Pochettino’s capability in orbiting the young lads.
“You see some of the young players he has brought through at Tottenham, at Southampton that have gone on to play for the national team, so I think he ticks every box in terms of his quality as a coach, but also his willingness to give youth a chance,” Rooney emphasized.
“I think (Pochettino) gets the best out of his players whether they are younger or older,” Rooney reviewed.
Currently, Mauricio Pochettino is still in contract with Tottenham Hotspur until June 2023. However, Manchester United need a high budget to sign the 46-year-old manager.
