DBasia.news – Manchester United’s inconsistency placed them in the sixth position of Premier League temporary table. Man United’s performance this season is far from the expectation.
It makes United claimed to sign the new players during the winter transfer market on January 1st. Moreover, the team manager Jose Mourinho failed to sign some center-back candidates last summer.
Some names are the targets, like Toby Alderweireld and Milan Skriniar. But apparently, the fans must be patient to see Man United purchase the players because Mourinho dropped the hint that they won’t actively sign new players soon.
“I don’t know if we are going to have new players. I would like to but I don’t know if it is possible or not,” Mourinho said cited by FourFourTwo.
“It depends on the club. Honestly, I’m focused on my job of playing Liverpool and next week playing Cardiff. I’m more focused on that,” the former Real Madrid manager added.
Besides the recruitment issue, the Old Trafford club also claimed to release some of their players, like Paul Pogba, Matteo Darmian, Juan Mata, and Antonio Valencia. The three latter names haven’t signed the contract renewal.
Concluding, Mourinho insisted that he isn’t frustrated if the team failed to sign the new players.
“I am not frustrated. What I demand from the players is that they give everything they have. I only demand from the players things that I can give myself. You have to work hard, you have to work on your limits,” he concluded.
