DBasia.news – PSV Eindhoven striker Steve Bergwijn has been the target of Manchester United since summer 2018. The Red Devils even sent their talent scout to the Netherlands to follow his performance.
Mirror Football reported Man United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are interested in signing him. The Norway coach is impressed with the performance of the 21-year-old player, who scored 10 goals of his 24 caps.
Hence, in this winter transfer market, Man United are ready to spend £25M to finish his transfer to Old Trafford. However, The Red Devils would use his service next season.
The Ajax Amsterdam academy player has confirmed that he would support PSV until the season really ends.
“I am not concerned with big clubs or with rumors about interest. I have remained with PSV this summer because I want to continue the line here to the end of the season. I want to finish the season with him, not to go in the middle of the season,” said the 21-year-old player.
Previously, Bergwijn refused the offers from Torino and Girondins Bordeaux last summer 2018.
