DBasia.news – Italian national team coach, Roberto Mancini believes Juventus, Lazio and Inter Milan will fight to the end to fight for the Serie A scudetto this season. This season’s competition will be resumed on June 20.
Coppa Italia is ready to be resumed on June 12 or June 13 and is followed by a Serie A match which will resume on June 20 after being suspended since the second week of March due to the corona virus outbreak. Mancini gave an overview of the problems that will be faced by Serie A clubs when the competition is rolled out again.
“All coaches will face a number of problems as the players had previously only practiced at home for two months and it is not easy to have to play competitive matches,” Mancini said via Rai Sport.
The Bundesliga has resumed while La Liga and the Premier League are also preparing to start the competition before Serie A.
“The tempo of the game in the German league match has been very slow compared to before and in my opinion the situation will also occur elsewhere, in some cities in Italy it will be difficult to play football in July.”
When the lockdown was made due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Juventus were one point ahead of Lazio and Inter were slightly behind.
“Lazio and Juve will fight to the end, but we see in the Bundesliga the benefits of playing at home have absolutely no effect,” continued the Azzuri coach.
“With that situation, in my opinion Inter also still has a chance to return to fight for the scudetto, we could have seen a few surprises, but Juve are still the favorites as they have a lot of squads so they can be rotated.”
