DBasia.news – West Ham United have won just one win, two draws and seven defeats in the ten most recent EPL games. These results make West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini likely to experience dismissal. However, Pellegrini only gave casual responses related to questions about his future with the team.
Most recently, West Ham humiliated Arsenal with a score of 1-3 in the 16th week of the English Premier League at London Stadium on Tuesday (10/12) early morning Western Indonesian Time.
West Ham took the lead in the first half through an Angelo Ogbonna goal in the 38th minute. However, they conceded three goals in the span of 10 minutes in the second half.
Arsenal reversed the score and sealed the win with each goal from Gabriel Martinelli (60′), Nicolas Pepe (66′) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (69′).
“It’s hard to understand. We dominated the game for 60 minutes and then lost control of the game. We failed to score the second goal which would be important,” Pellegrini said after the match to Sky Sports.
“You (the players) must understand the frustration (of the fans) because we failed to win in the last five games we played here (home). If you don’t win at home, fans will not be happy.”
“You cannot concede three goals in every game. Unfortunately, we did the wrong thing. We are not in our best moment, but we need to keep fighting.”
“We have to play 90 minutes, not 60 minutes like we did today. We have to fix it and stay solid in every game. About the future, it’s not my authority. It doesn’t depend on me,” he added, as he passed.
This defeat also made a bad trend West Ham continued in the EPL this season.
In the ten most recent matches (including the results of Arsenal’s counter), West Ham swallowed seven defeats, two draws, and only one win.
A bad record that impacts on their ranking in the standings, which are now scattered in 16th place with 16 points, and only one point adrift of the team in the relegation zone.
