Marcelo Bielsa Ensures that he will still Handle Leeds United

DBasia.news – Marcelo Bielsa said he would continue to handle Leeds United ahead of the 2020-2021 season. This was said even though the negotiations for the contract extension had not been completed.

Bielsa’s contract is supposed to end this summer. However, Leeds management is determined to defend him as they have successfully ended the waiting period for The Whites to return to compete in the Premier League.

Leeds intends to offer a two-year contract to Bielsa. The salary value of the former Athletic Bilbao architect will reportedly be equal to the managers of elite Premier League clubs.

However, it is not known the exact reason why Bielsa still has not signed a new contract. Even though the new season will roll out in a matter of days.

The 2020-2021 Premier League will indeed start this weekend. Leeds are scheduled to visit Liverpool headquarters on Saturday (12/9).

It is feared that this problem will interfere with Leeds preparations. However, Bielsa emphasized his commitment to stay.

“I will work next season at Leeds United.” (My contract) is not important because I have 100 percent worked here since we were promoted, “Bielsa said as quoted by Goal.

Naturally, the Leeds management and fans were worried. With his big name, of course many clubs are interested in using Bielsa’s services.

Moreover, Bielsa has a poor track record regarding commitment. He once canceled his contract with Lazio just two days after being introduced to the public.

“Everything has been arranged and it is certain that I will be here this season. But like in every negotiation, it cannot be said that it is completed until it is completely finished,” he concluded.
