Marcelo Brozovic absent, Inter Milan still have young players

DBasia.news – Inter Milan coach, Simone Inzaghi, isn’t worrying about the absence of Marcelo Brozovic. Inzaghi feels he still has full confidence in the young player, Kristjan Asllani.

Inter Milan were unable to play Marcelo Brozovic when they played against AS Roma in the 2022-2023 Serie A match, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Saturday (1/10). Epic Brozo suffered an injury while playing for the Croatian national team during the international break.

Brozovic’s absence is believed to have an impact on Inter’s midfield. Understandably, all this time Brozovic has been Inter’s mainstay player to flow the ball from the back to the front. In addition, Brozovic is in charge of maintaining depth.

However, Simone Inzaghi already has an alternative. The Italian coach will play Kristjan Asllani who was brought in this season from Empoli.

“Asllani is the player chosen by the club and myself. He is working well and tomorrow will definitely be a starter,” said Inzaghi as reported by Football Italia.

“I have four midfielders available. Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Barella and Calhanoglu. Three will start and one will come off the bench.”

Inzaghi hopes his players can bounce back after going through a negative period last month. Currently, Inter are in seventh place in the standings with 12 points from 7 matches.

“It will be a challenging match. We are facing a strong team with a great coach,” stated Inzaghi.

“We have to prepare well. Yesterday I saw the players for the first time after the defeat against Udinese. We analyzed the game while preparing for the next game.”
