Marchisio’s greatest regret with Juventus
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Claudio Marchisio has announced his retirement from football after a 19-year career.
Despite retiring at Zenit, Marchisio is better known for his actions during the defense of Juventus. Making his debut for the senior team in 2005, he has presented a series of achievements.
“My regret is that I have never managed to bring home the Champions League trophy with Juventus. In addition, I have not been able to forget the failure of the national team to win the Euro. The rest, I’m grateful to be able to get the experience of defending Juve,” he said.
Marchisio has witnessed the resurgence of Juventus since stumbling on the Calciopolli case in 2006. Had been relegated to Serie B did not make his loyalty fade. He chose to stay until finally Juve returned to the highest place in 2011.
Marchisio was part of the Italy national team squad at Euro 2012. At that time, Gli Azurri was defeated by Spain in the final match with a pretty landslide score, 0-4. After that, the appearance of the Italian national team continued to decline. Even failed to qualify for the 2019 World Cup.
