Marcus Rashford Still Volunteering Consistently in England

DBasia.news – Marcus Rashford is still consistently helping British children who are threatened with starvation. Now the Manchester United player is volunteering at the food bank.

Rashford actively campaigned for free food stamps for school children during the last summer holidays. This was done to help those who are less fortunate in England amid the Corona virus pandemic.

Not only that, Rashford also created a task force to ensure that the food supply to British children was still distributed. These social actions earned the 22-year-old star the knighthood of Member of the British Empire (MBE) from the British Empire.

The MBE award did not make Marcus Rashford puff up and end his social activities. According to the Daily Star, the England national team striker recently volunteered with his mother, Melanie Rashford.

Rashford and her mother volunteer at the food supply agency for needy people, FareShare. He also shares his social activities on his Instagram account.

“As FareShare and other food-related charities approach one of the toughest winters on record, with higher demand than ever, it is important for me to provide my support wherever it is needed,” said Rashford, quoted by the Daily Star.

“A lot of these volunteers are unemployed due to the pandemic, but they are still trying to help others who are less fortunate. For me that is the best example of what we can do, as well as the difference we can make when we work together,” he said.

As well as volunteering, Marcus Rashford also shared information on free places to eat for children across the UK via his Twitter account. The campaign was carried out in response to the government’s refusal to provide free meal coupons during the holidays in October and Christmas.
