Mario Gomez Believed Haringga’s Tragedy Won’t Influence Liga 1 Competition

DBasia.news – Persib Bandung coach Mario Gomez believed that the tragedy won’t influence Liga 1 entering the 23rd-week. Moreover, the incident happened outside GBLA Stadium.

“I think there won’t be any influence to the competition because it happened outside and there were police. This is a crime. In contrary, there was no problem with 34,000 spectators in the stadium,” he said.

Gomez also regrets the incident of Haringga Sirla, one of the Persija Jakarta supporters before the match between Persib against Persija at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung, on Sunday (23/9).

In fact, the incident could be anticipated, moreover, the man who lived in Cengkareng, was attacked by Bobotoh.

“They should sit together. If you have a fight, it’s one-on-one, not like that. This is bad,” Mario said at Sport Stadium, Arcamanik, Monday (24/9).

Mario expects this incident will be the last and won’t be repeated anymore. Hence, the supporters could watch their beloved team comfortably, both away and home.

“I hope in the future we can play with Persija and Arema supporters. And we also will go to watch in Jakarta, Malang, anywhere. Why not? This is football, not a war,” he insisted.

“Don’t you want to watch it in Jakarta with your family? Can you leave? Yes. This is about education. Everyone has to emphasize that there won’t be any violence because football is not a fight arena. It’s just the fight on the pitch, not in the tribune. That’s the real football,” he concluded.
