DBasia.news – Express reported Mario Mandzukic has refused to go from Juventus to Qatar to play in the Premier League with Manchester United.
Mandzukic, 33, has been linked with the Red Devils since the transfer market last summer. Moreover, the Croatian striker did not become Maurizio Sarri’s first choice in the Juve squad and preferred Gonzalo Higuain as the spearhead.
The issue of his departure increasingly widely circulated after his name was not included in the Bianconeri Champions League squad. However, after the summer transfer window ended, Mandzukic was no longer associated with European clubs but rather to Asian-Qatari clubs.
However, Mandzukic, whose contract expires in 2021, allegedly chose to hold out until the winter transfer market opens in January 2020 so he can continue playing in Europe. Man United can also recruit him.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s club needs a new striker after losing Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan. Mandzukic’s experience could be useful for United’s squad which contains many young players.
