DBasia.news – Manchester United managed to beat West Ham United 3-1. MU’s young striker, Mason Greenwood, was flooded with praise for his slick performance in that match.
Two former United players, Gary Neville and Patrice Evra agreed that Mason Greenwood is Manchester United’s best finisher.
Mason Greenwood, who is still 19 years old, created a goal in the 68th minute to bring MU 2-1 ahead. Man United’s victory took them up to fourth with 19 points.
For Greenwood, the match against West Ham is an important moment as he was able to score his first goal in the Premier League this season.
The United academy graduate proved he was still hungry for goals after scoring 17 goals last season.
“Players like Pogba and Greenwood, they have star quality,” Neville said on Sky Sports. “He’s the best finisher at the club. Mason Greenwood. That’s class, first touch.”
“I always said every time I saw him I felt like it was Robin van Persie. It was the power of attack that beat the goalkeeper,” stated Neville.
“I think he (Greenwood) is the best footballer of all. He’s young, he has so much potential, that’s not true.”
Evra agrees with Neville’s opinion. He also compared Greenwood to his former team-mate, Van Persie who scored 144 goals in the Premier League.
“He reminds me of Van Persie. Sometimes I give bad crosses and he makes it look beautiful. That’s what Greenwood did. He’s the best finisher at the club,” said Evra.
