Mason Greenwood’s options if he is rejected to return to Manchester United

DBasia.news – Mason Greenwood reportedly has four options open should current club, Manchester United decide not to keep him.

The 21-year-old striker remains suspended by the Red Devils who have confirmed they are carrying out “their own process” after criminal charges in a case relating to allegations of attempted rape, assault and coercive and controlling behavior were dropped in court.

If the Red Devils decide not to use Greenwood’s services anymore, the striker will be looking for a new club, according to The Sun. Greenwood will later try and find another team in Europe, the Middle East, the Chinese Super League or in the United States.

A transfer to Major League Soccer (MLS) is said to be a challenger at this stage due to Greenwood’s wages. It is considered that the clubs there refuse to spend a large part of their salaries on the striker.

As is well known, Greenwood currently earns around £75,000 a week at United and may have to lower those demands if he wants to find a new club outside of the Premier League.

It remains unclear when United will make a final decision on Greenwood. The Red Devils staff are said to be torn about the player’s status.

However, several members of the club’s women’s team have been called “uncomfortable” with the prospect of Greenwood returning to United.

Erik ten Hag’s manager has contacted Greenwood for the first time since the charges were dropped. He recently called the striker to check on his physical and mental health.
