DBasia.news – Massimilliano Aellegri, the Juventus coach, still sees the positive side of his team scoring 1-1 against AS Roma. For him, Juventus have tried their best.
Juventus again failed to win after being held by Roma 1-1 in the continued match of Serie A 2022-2023, at Allianz Stadium, Saturday (27/8). After having the lead through Dusan Vlahovic (2′), Juve conceded through Tammy Abraham in the 69th minute.
Despite failing to achieve perfect points, Allegri remains grateful. Although, he also saw a lot of flaws.
“It’s been a long season. In fact, we risked losing him at the other corner towards the end,” Allegri told DAZN.
“Juve played well on a technical level, but still need to improve. Roma defended more on the right in the second half and we should have crossed more with Weston McKennie on the left.”
Despite the draw, Allegri saw a slick appearance from his team. He did not deny that Roma are a dangerous opponent.
“I’m happy with what the players did. It was a good game. Roma are a great team and Jose Mourinho is always good at keeping his team focused,” explained Allegri.
“It’s a shame Roma scored the only corner they put in the back post. But that’s football. It was a strong performance.”
Now, after three games, Juventus are in seventh place in the standings. The Bianconeri have five points and are two behind Milan at the top of the table.
