DBasia.news – Manager from Argentina, Mauricio Pochettino claimed to misses his former club, Tottenham Hotspur. He said he wanted to return to coach the Lilywhites squad someday.
Pochettino was officially dismissed by Tottenham in November. The failure to present the trophy was one of the reasons behind Pochettino’s dismissal. His position was then replaced by manager Jose Mourinho.
“From the first day I left, I already had the ambition to return to train Tottenham and try to finish the job that I failed to complete. We almost won the Premier League and Champions League,” Pochettino told BT Sport.
According to Pochettino, he wants to return to training in North London because Tottenham has a very special supporter base. He also wants to pay the trust of supporters by presenting a prestigious trophy.
“In my heart, I still want to go back to Tottenham because they have special supporters. Maybe I’ll be back in five or 10 years. What is clear, I want to return to deal with Tottenham before dying,” said Pochettino.
“I want to be a champion with Tottenham and offer a trophy to the fans. That will be my chance to pay for the love and trust that fans have given,” concluded Pochettino.
After being dismissed by Tottenham Hotspur, Mauricio Pochettino has not returned to training. However, he is championed as a strong candidate to replace Steve Bruce at Newcastle United in the near future.
