Maurizio Sarri: Cristiano Ronaldo Not in the Best Physical Condition at Juventus
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo is not in the best physical condition at the moment, while denying news of his dispute with Miralem Pjanic.
One of Maurizio Sarri’s homeworks is finding the best position for Cristiano Ronaldo. The coach had put CR7 as the main striker, but the player responded disagree.
“We spoke before the Coppa Italia match against AC Milan and Napoli. After that, we were also still communicating. Ronaldo scored 700 goals by appearing slightly wide. That is his favorite position and is normal,” Sarri said as reported by Football Italia.
Usually, when Cristiano Ronaldo plays as a wing attacker, Sarri will put Paulo Dybala at the forefront. Meanwhile, the right position belongs to Diego Costa.
The problem is, Dybala is also not a pure center attacker. On the other hand, Gonzalo Higuain who is on the bench hasn’t shown the performance as expected.
“I summoned the three players and talked to them about what to do in the final. Analyzed them and decided to try to put Paulo Dybala in a more central position.”
“I talked with Ronaldo for a long time yesterday. I hope that starting tomorrow, at the most week, he will again be the fantastic player we know. It’s just that he is not in the best physical condition at the moment,” Sarri said.
Indeed, Cristiano Ronaldo’s notched goals this season stemmed more from playing as a central striker. Ronaldo has 15 goals in 18 matches. Meanwhile, when shifted to the left, the 35-year player gained 10 goals in 16 matches.
