Maurizio Sarri See Changes in Gonzalo Higuain
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Gonzalo Higuain had become a different player after being loaned to Chelsea. This was seen by his coach at Juventus, Maurizio Sarri.
On loan in January, Higuain was only able to score five goals in a total of 18 matches in all competitions with Chelsea. Expected to be able to contribute more, the player appeared disappointing.
The future of Higuain (31 years) at Juventus was also doubtful at the start of this season. However, slowly but surely, the Argentine international began to experience positive changes.
Higuain has recorded 3 goals and one assist in 11 appearances. He is also able to collaborate well with Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Gonzalo is a great player who has spent a difficult season,” Sarri said at Soccerway.
“This summer, I saw him practice with an extraordinary level of motivation. In London, I have heard several comments from him that I did not like, but now they are contradictory, which means something has changed in his mind.”
“And when he has high motivation, he is a very important player,” Sarri added.
Juventus itself now tops the Serie A standings. The Bianconeri are one point ahead of Inter Milan below.
