DBasia.news – Max Kruse, a 31-year-old German striker, chose to join Fenerbahce and refused several offers. Including one of them from Liverpool.
Kruse ended his collaboration with Werder Bremen for three years (2016-2019). He did not renew his contract after scoring 12 goals and giving 14 assists in all competitions last season.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach and Wolfsburg player claimed to have received many offers before joining Fenerbahce, including one from Liverpool. But in the end, Fenerbahce became Kruse’s chosen club.
“During the transfer period, I have received many offers and one of them is Liverpool. But, I decided to join Fenerbahce because I believe I will be very happy there,” Kruse said.
“I have talked to players a lot during that period and I am happy with the decisions I have made,” he added.
Kruse can bring experience when moving to Liverpool. Packaging 14 caps and four goals with the German national team could be Roberto Firmino’s cover in the 4-3-3 Klopp formation at Liverpool.
