DBasia.news – Paris Saint-Germain striker, Kylian Mbappe, performed well and scored four goals in the match against Olympique Lyon with a 5-0 score in the Ligue 1 at Parc des Princes Stadium, Paris, France, Monday.

The four goals from Mbappe completed the opening goals from PSG by Neymar from the white spot, as stated in the official Ligue 1’s match statistic.

The result made PGS broke the new record of 9 consecutive victories at the beginning of the highest division of French football, who were achieved by the legendary club Olympique Lillois, who merged with SC Fives in 1944 and now known as Lile OSC, with 8 consecutive victories in 1936.

Besides, the winning made PSG became further from the rival with 27 points.

PSG vs Lyon

Lyon were speculated to get bad luck since their captain, Nabil Fekir, withdrawn when the match just went 6 minutes due to the pain after the clash with the host captain Thiago Silva.

The beginning of the match was bad for the away team when the goalkeeper Anthony Lopes had a foul with Mbappe in the forbidden area and Neymar successfully executed the penalty kick to open PSG’s domination when the match just entered the 9th minute.

But Lyon got another luck when PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe got kicked from the pitch at 32′ due to his foul to Tanguy Ndombele after the VAR observation. But it wasn’t long enough until Lucas Tousart kicked from the pitch as well before the break due to the second yellow card.

In the second half with 10 players for both sides, the situation was promising. The game was more open. Both Mbappe and Max Cornet have the one-on-one chance in both sides of the pitch. The complicated situation happened at 52′ when Thiago Silva’s kick hit Cornet’s head and the ball hit the crossbar.

Mbappe wasted some opportunities before scoring his second goal for PSG at 61′ with his left kick.

Five minutes later, he responded to the cross passing from Marquinhos before completing his three goals at 69′ by passing Lopes, accepting the good passing from Neymar.

His fourth goal was created at 74′ when he scored the kick between Jason Denayer’s feet after Neymar’s shot hit Jeremy Morel.
