DBasia.news – Reportedly, Barcelona striker, Memphis Depay has been offered to Juventus.
The Serie A giants are now considering whether to make an approach for the Dutch player, who is no longer needed by the Blaugrana.
Juventus will be able to sign Depay on a free transfer because Barca really want to let him go to ease their financial crisis and register new players such as Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kunde.
The former Manchester United striker and his agent are believed to be meeting with Juventus management to discuss a possible transfer.
The outcome of those negotiations is likely to determine Depay’s future, but Juventus are believed to be interested in the Netherlands international.
Depay could be the next player to arrive at the Allianz Stadium, after they completed the transfer of Filip Kostic from Eintracht Frankfurt, who is also one step away from moving to Turin.
Barcelona have put Depay at the top of their selling list, amid their efforts to reduce the burden of spending on salaries.
Lewandowski’s arrival also means the 28-year-old player will be increasingly marginalized from the Catalan club’s squad.
Barcelona’s hope is to earn more than 100 million euros from the sale of players, with Frenkie de Jong still the subject of interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
The departure of some unwanted players could also relieve the club’s debt which has soared to 1.3 billion euros accumulated in recent years.
The likes of Martin Braithwaite, Miralem Pjanic and Samuel Umtiti could also be sacrificed as Xavi plays his squad for the new season.
