Mesut Ozil Quoted Dennis Bergkamp’s words via Social Media

Mesut Ozil

DBasia.news –  Arsenal are in an inconsistent sittuation while playing under the care of Unai Emery. If in the first half of the season Arsenal had not lost as many as 22 consecutive matches in all competitions, then this season is the opposite. The inconsistency of playing in Arsene Wenger’s era still occurs in the current team squad.

The latest defeat came as a surprise from BATE Borisov in the Europa League last 32 first leg, Friday (15/2). Arsenal lost 0-1 in Belarus. Not only discussing the performance of the Gunners, the public also continues to talk about Mesut Ozil.

For the moment, Ozil’s presence in Arsenal is like a big question mark. Not being injured or exposed to card accumulation, Emery rarely plays in Arsenal’s main squad. Even though this rarely happens when Wenger was still coaching.

With his hefty income and quality of play that has made him one of the European stars, Ozil should have been able to contribute more to Arsenal’s game.

Especially with his status as the 2014 world champion with German national team, a former Real Madrid player, and a five-time winner of the German Best Player.

All the news led to the issue of leaving Arsenal to other European clubs, ranging from Turkish clubs to Inter Milan. Inter is ready to make him an alternative player because of the difficulty of recruiting Modric from Madrid.

Ozil also seemed to gave an indication of his future through his posting on social media, Twitter asccount under the name @ MesutOzil1088. In his tweets, Ozil quoted the Arsenal legend midway through 1995-2006, Dennis Bergkamp.

“When you start supporting a football club, you don’t support it because of the trophy, players, history, you support it because you find yourself there; find a place where you deserve to be,” Ozil said.

His comments seemd to be quite ambiguous. Because, Ozil did not directly mention the club where he (deserves) to be. There are those who see it as Arsenal because he quoted Bergkamp’s words, there are also those who argue otherwise; because of the criticism of many fans, Ozil is still looking for the best club for him.
