DBasia.news – Championship side Middlesbrough will reportedly demand a club-record transfer fee to sell right-back Djed Spence, amid interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

The Sun reports that Chris Wilder’s club want at least £20m to part with the right-back.

Boro’s current record sales stand at £18m, when they sold Spanish winger Adama Traore to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2018.

Spence has been in outstanding form this season while on loan at Middlesbrough rivals Nottingham Forest last summer. The 21-year-old earned a call-up to the England Under-21 team thanks to his stunning form.

The full-back has been a key figure in Steve Cooper’s Forest side this season. He has contributed with three goals and five assists in 37 games across all competitions.

The youngster had an interesting game for the Championship team against Arsenal in the FA Cup third round. He helped Nottingham Forest knock the Gunners out of the competition with a 1-0 win.

The Sun also claims that Tottenham Hotspur will battle their city rivals for his signature. Spurs manager Antonio Conte has not been impressed with his current right-backs Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal.

The 21-year-old also has admirers outside of England, with Bundesliga title holders Bayern Munich interested in his signature. Serie A giants AC Milan and Inter Milan have also seen the young full-back in action.
