DBasia.news – Mesut Ozil’s problems at Arsenal have not come to light. The former Gunners manager, Arsene Wenger, shared tips and advice with Mikel Arteta on how to deal with this problem.
Amid a flood of criticism that stated Arsenal’s dry creativity, Arteta has been urged to stop the freeze and return Ozil to the squad. Because Ozil is considered to be the only source of creativity for the Gunners.
Arsenal are currently 15th in the Premier League standings. The club from North London has only won four wins from 11 matches that have been undertaken.
From 11 matches, Arsenal also only scored 10 goals and conceded 14 times. The monotonous pattern of Arsenal’s attack and lack of variation and creativity is considered a contributing factor.
Then there was a discourse to provide confidence to Ozil, who is also Arsenal’s highest paid player. This season the 32-year-old midfielder has not played at all even though he still receives 350 thousand pounds per week. Ozil was not even listed in Arsenal’s Europa League squad.
As the figure who brought in Ozil from Real Madrid in 2013, Wenger certainly knows Ozil. On this occasion Wenger denied the opinion that Ozil could not be regulated.
“He is not unruly,” Wenger said as quoted by the Mirror. “He’s a player who has special qualities, as a creative player and needs to have fun.”
“He is an artist and people like him are a little more sensitive. They need support and an environment that encourages them to give their best.”
“You have two ways to look at the team. You make everyone do the same thing, the same intensity of work, the same defensive work, or you find a compromise,” stated Wenger.
“You have a more creative player on the team who can do a less defensive job, but you build a team around him that can compensate for that lack.”
“That’s what you have to think about,” continued Wenger.
Currently, the most likely option for Arsenal is to release Ozil in the January transfer window before his contract expires in the summer.
