DBasia.news – The Arsenal vs Manchester United duel was completed without a winner. London Cannon manager, Mikel Arteta, considered that a draw was a fair result.
Arsenal hosted Man United in the continued Premier League on Sunday (31/1/2021) am, WIB. The duel which took place at the Emirates Stadium was completed without a goal.
Arsenal did lose possession of the ball, 46% vs 57%. However, the host made 17 attempts, while MU had 14 attempts with the two teams making three shots on target.
The Gunners had one shot that nearly tore David de Gea’s goal. Alexandre Lacazette’s free-shot hit the post in the 65th minute.
One point did not make Arteta disappointed. In fact, he thought this was a fair result because both teams were determined to win.
“I think this is a great match between two big teams who wanted to win,” Arteta sais as quoted on Arsenal’s official website.
“I think it’s a fair result in the end, because Man United had a few moments in the first half and we had some big moments in the second half, where we should have scored at least one goal. We didn’t and because it was impossible to win the game. So at least we took a draw, “he continued.
Arteta said Arsenal were good at controlling the ball. His team was also great at undergoing tactical changes.
“We were very aggressive, we won the ball early and in a great area. But the goal was not there and that’s the difference in a big game,” added Arteta
